Albertslund for Le Monde

For Le Monde’s weekend magazine M le Magazine du Monde I recently worked on at story about the Copenhagen suburb, Albertslund. Albertslund is an area with a diverse demographic and holds a large percentage of inhabitants who votes for the Danish social democratic party. Unlike the social democratic parties in many other European countries, the Danish social democratic party has seen a succes in gaining support from the voters in recent elections.

Assignment for Le Monde

For Le Monde I photographed for a story on the eviction of Syrians in Denmark. I photographed during a demonstration in Copenhagen on April 21st and visited Suzan Jelelatti and her two grown-up children Joud and Tulip who have all had their visas revoked.

The Bertawi family for The Wall Street Journal

For The Wall Street Journal I have met the Bertawi family who recently had their Danish residency visas revoked. As the only country in Europe, Denmark have stripped the residency visas of more than 250 Syrians living in Denmark, stating that it is now safe to move back to the Damascus area.
