For The New York Times I spent a day photographing volunteers and locals in the small Danish town Rebild, which has celebrated the 4th of July since 1912. The organizers in Rebild call it the biggest celebration of the American national day outside the United States. But this year the annual event has been affected by the tension between the United States, Denmark and Greenland as American officials have been cut from the program.

Copenhagen was recently awarded the most liveable city in the world. But what makes Copenhagen so liveable and what can the challenges be about living in the Danish capital? For German Stern Magazine I photographed for a story which examined life for both locals and tourists in the city. The biking culture and many water ways were highlighted as some of Copenhagens perks while the expensive living costs and limited housing market were mentioned as some of the challenges by many of the locals we talked with. For T Magazine I spent a day filming chef Frederik Bille Brahe on a neighborhood tour of his favorite places in Outer Nørrebro, an area that borders the northern edge of Copenhagen.
On the tour we visited the nonprofit farm stand Grønne Bønner, the bakery Bageriet B, Assistens Cemetery, art gallery Andersens Contemporary and natural wine shop Vin de Table.
For Forbes Austria I recently visited CEO Christian Stadil at his castle Harridslevgaard Castle in Funen, Denmark.
Together with his father Christian Stadil has built the Danish business group Thornico from a small family investment into a billion-euro conglomerate with around 130 companies and €1.4 billion in revenue. Christian calls his business philosophy “Company Karma”.
